Low Prices at Pizza Pros

There are many places throughout DeKalb and Sycamore where you can go to enjoy a good meal. However, there aren't too many places where you can eat well for low prices. Pizza Pros is a place where you will never leave unsatisfied.

Located right near campus on Lincoln Highway, Pizza Pros has a parking lot for those with cars, and there are buses that drop you off right in front. It’s not a hard area to get to. There is a Dollar Video next door where, for only a dollar, you can grab movies after your meal. It also surrounded by hotels located across the street from the restaurant. James Williams, a continuous customer, says “the area is very quiet and peaceful.” Areas like these keeps customers feeling comfortable.

If you go between the hours of 11 and 4, you can catch their daily lunch specials. They offer burger with fries, 6" sub sandwich with fries, 6 chicken wings with fries, or an Italian beef sandwich with fries all for $4.99. Overall their prices range from 2 to 17 dollars. Those who are over 21 can buy beer at the bar they have located inside. Or adults can choose to play darts while waiting on their food. One thing that caught my attention was when they brought out puzzles, which can be colored in, for the children while they're waiting to eat.

The menu is too good to be true. I tried their 12" sausage pizza for only $9.20. It was a nice rounded pizza with square slices. The pizza was very hot and mouth-watering, even though the cheese kept sliding off. I also ordered 10 bone-in wings (5 Bbq & 5 Hot), with shrimp with fries. Their boneless wings are good as well, however, they are much smaller than the bone-in wings.
They have other flavors to choose from for the wings. Including Plain, Extra Hot, or Teriyaki. Their shrimps are one of a kind due to the fact that they cut the tails off. Everything on the menu is delicious and worth the time and money.

The dining experience overall was good. As soon as we entered the restaurant, there was a sign that said "please seat yourself." The waitress came immediately to give us ours menus, and asked us what we wanted to drink. It took us a minute to choose, but the waitress remained patient and calm. We had to keep reminding ourselves that we were not dreaming because of the low prices. Although we went during the evening, it was pretty empty on the side. There were a few people over at the bar watching sports on the TVs they have throughout the restaurant. They had music playing very low. I felt relaxed, and when the food came you can tell it was freshly cooked from the steam rising. Although the service was good, James stated “the food took a little too long getting to our table.” Nevertheless, the waiter still received a tip.

Pizza Pros is a very good restaurant that will not send you home broke. They deliver and they even accept Huskie Bucks. Now I go there every chance I get, and I leave knowing I had a great meal for a low price.
